After a year of dedicated work, the aspiring designers present a stunning collection of dresses and shirts inspired by Joana Vasconcelos’s artworks.
In keeping with the Portuguese artist’s aesthetic, each piece is transformed into a vibrant interplay of colors, shapes, and techniques, resulting in a collection that serves as a heartfelt tribute to craftsmanship as a timeless art form capable of moving and enriching everyday life.
At the conclusion of the show, a jury – comprising Joana Vasconcelos herself, representatives from the Municipality of Ascona, SAMS, Fondazione Majid, and fashion designer Rafael Kouto – will select the best outfit. Thanks to the generous support of Fondazione Majid, which is committed to nurturing young talent, the winners will earn a two-week internship at the artist’s studio in Lisbon.
